• Operations
  • storage-4 build
    • built
    • all drives installed and passed tests

    • RAID card in PowerEdge 2950 does not support disks > 2TB

      • may be able to flash chip with new firmware
      • we could also get a new card, but we may not have available slots
      • will investigate Saturday, decide what to buy next Tuesday
      • we could also look into getting a new machine donated
  • Water sensor issues
    • Have been checking randomly on recent flaps; no water seen so far since major issues of 3–4 Dec 2015
    • New sensor has been ordered, but might not reduce alerts
      • Possible that small droplets are still splashing
      • We had ours for around 3 years
      • sensor will be replaced whenever it arrives

  • NetApp filers migration to internal IP space

    • Internal IPs set up
      • CCVM will flail around for a bit and then die
      • Everything else using the filers is already transitioned to the internal IPs

      • Will remove filers from public IPs this Saturday, 16 Jan

    • We have DNS delegation on club.cc.local.cmu.edu
  • Shibboleth on Contrib may be broken
