• Logistics

  • Earlier seems to be preferred, 17:00 is the target (Tuesdays, as usual).
  • Let's see if Catherine can get us a room in Gates; otherwise we resort to 25Live.
  • We will also ask the new people when they can make meetings next semester.
  • Demosplash meetings will resume January or February.
  • Elections will be Tuesday, 19 March. (Maybe we should push this back someday.)
  • Unrelated: "cmucomputer.club" and "cmuc.club" are available and pretty cheap (about $11 per year), and fseidel wants to buy one. "We should also get a .biz so people know we're serious."

• Operations

  • The Tartan said they don't need tartanfs anymore, so phases 4 and 5 of decommissioning the daemon engines were merged before Thanksgiving. All VMs have been migrated as of the 17th.
  • Still need to go through the home dirs and scratch files to check if there's anything that anyone still wants hanging around there before finishing decommissioning.
  • Going into next semester, there are still some org VMs and personal VMs for which we don't have a (good) contact, so we'll need to seek those out more aggressively.

  • Still not fixed. (Two weeks ago, they said it would probably be about two weeks.)
