Fire Suppression
Until February 2007, the machine room had a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halon_1301 Halon 1301] system, at which point it was replaced by an FE-25 (branded [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HFC-125 HFC-125]) system. Fun links:
History
B6 shall always be B6. [:MembersOnly/B7:B7] is and always shall be the adjacent (non-cclub) room. Anything to the contrary is a lie.
Brief timeline as best known by contributers
- Ancient antiquity - Had a room in basement of Doherty Hall
- Mid-1990s (?) - old IBM research lab in basement of Cyert broken up into B6/B7, with B6 given to cclub
- May-August 2006 - Hallway to new Academic Development location pushed through room; room extended approx. 6 feet into B7 to partially make up for loss
- Renamed B7 (B7 becoming B8) by people clearly not in the know
