Hooray, a meeting:
- Treasurer's Report
- Ford needs to give ezh reimbursement info
- ezh will email list about capital items
- Retro Game Night
- Catherine reserved NSH Atrium for Fri 24 Mar, starting at 19:00 we think?
- This is the week after spring break; it's about a month away
- Need to plan starting time (20:00-23:00? Is that enough time to set up?)
- SCS Day is next week, should we bring something retro and have a mini Retro Game Night or posters?
- jocelynh will ask Catherine about having retro set up there tomorrow morning; if jocelynh can't make it then ezh will go on Thursday
- Maybe only have posters
- Catherine will be getting us hookups to the sound system so we can have video game music for ambiance
- Will end up being a much cheaper event, run through ourselves, not Late Night
- But expect a lot of Master's students
- We hadn't requested money for the event from JFC
- We can still do prizes but haven't planned for it, leaning towards NO.
- There was almost no advertising last year because it wasn't ready in time
- We can re-use last year's poster, tparenti will edit the date on that
- Need two week lead to get it posted in dorms, etc.
- Once we lock details down, Catherine will send to her mailing lists
- Catherine reserved NSH Atrium for Fri 24 Mar, starting at 19:00 we think?
- Tomorrow (22 Feb): ezh on Windows
- Next week (01 Mar): dsisson on Burroughs MCP
- Food
- Rialto's happened last week, and will happen this week too
- They have specialty flavors (ranch steak tomorrow), we should probably regulate how many people take
- It'll probably be the new default, we should aim to switch things up (discuss options on Saturdays ahead of time)
- Catherine has also suggested Jimmy John's
- Their catering is more like finger-food/hit-or-miss, so no on that
- Power upgrades
- Discussion deferred until we talk to Computing Services
