Talk Series: Green Hills was here last week, we talked to them briefly about the talk series. Some ideas they brought up as follows.
- Virtualization: Practice and theory, more on the side of practice
- Reconfigurable logic: fseidel would be happy to do this
- Debugging/Debuggers: The 7-9 steps of debugging. They also mentioned their own tool (multi) but no one here has used it and it's very expensive.
- LLVM: fseidel knows some people who might be willing to give a talk
- Cryptocurrency: Maybe get Prof. Christin?
Security Vulnerabilities: Such as Heartbleed and WannaCry
- Esoteric Programming Languages
- Modern File Systems: zfs, Apple's new file system, etc.
- Rust/D/Go ("Next-Generation Systems Programming Languages")
