Welcome back from break (if applicable)! Also, it's election week for CClub. I don't think we had any Russian interference.

Talk series
Next up is Thom Popovici (GPGPU & CUDA) this coming Wednesday.
jocelynh emailed Catherine to try a new order of pizza. Last week there was a dearth of veggie pizzas (a few attendees looked sad), so we'd like to try the Spinach & Feta.
New order: 2 cheese, 2 pep, 2 spinach & feta, 2 cheeseburger, 2 ranch steak
Green Hills has finally responded, they are happy to sponsor us again
- GHS wants to give a tech talk sometime in April, jocelynh is emailing them to check what dates work for them.
- Thinking about changing the times for talks; 8-9pm on a weeknight may be a late for a lot of students. Still need to discuss what time might be best in order to avoid conflicts with classes and labs.
Talk schedule (and presenters) can be found here.
- Structure of series:
- Bi-weekly: allows for higher quality talks
- Will be on Wednesdays at 20:00
Elections
- President: tjjohans "Make Computer Club great again!"
- Secretary: jocelynh "I mean I'm doing it now"
- Treasurer: fseidel "I still haven't been indicted on anything"
Shutdowns
- A lot of power has been gone recently, if you haven't noticed!
- They're expecting to require more power shutdowns for maintenance, this week/weekend. Not sure if this will be the last one.
- Good news is that practice makes procedures, so shutdowns of machine room are getting smoother. May be helpful to have an actual written procedure set for emergency shutdowns/start-ups.
Purchases
- Hard disk hasn't been ordered yet; tjjohans will be making a PCard appointment.
- 0xDEADBEEF
- Proposed date: Saturday afternoon (12:00-14:00), 28 April.
- We have Table 1 (outside the UC).
