Debian packages:

Remember to save the dovecot users created (dovenull and dovecot) to /etc/passwd.system! This is not necessary on Debian 9 and higher.
To stop and then disable the daemons (until we figure out configuration):
- service dovecot stop
- sed -i -e 's/^#\(ENABLED=0\)/\1/' /etc/default/dovecot
