CFFA3000 Usage
The CFFA is a CF card floppy drive emulator board.
mkasick's notes from Demosplash 2013:
- To use disk II, you must set slot 6 to "your card"
- "Your card" slot settings forgotten on extended AC loss with dead clock battery
- Press M on boot for menu
Notes from 7/24/2017 hacking at Keith's place:
- Most demos won't run from floppy emulator
Instead, have to follow Events/Demo Night/IIgs Disk Creation
- Main interesting thing to show is GS/OS, image file "disk" we put on the cf card
- "Disk II" mode mostly not useful
- This is the controller in classic apple II (5.25" drives)
- "Smartport" is what we generally use instead (3.25" drives)
