NetApp is a manufacturer of storage systems headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. In addition to this, several club members have at some point worked for NetApp.
In Summer 2012, NetApp donated a number of NetApp FAS3050 filers and DS14mk2 disk shelves that we're trying to get set up.
NetApp later donated 4 FAS2040 filers (2x controller + 12 disks in a nice 2RU case) but still no software licenses.
- They did later donate the licenses and the 2040 systems are now up and running.
- A few more spare DS14mk2 disk shelves and several power supplies were acquired in 2014.
The NetApp StoreVault filer is now with ssosothi. kbare knows some configuration options for it.
